The Cupcakery Footprint
Tabletops, floors and counters- Were constructed from solid concrete and polished glass, made from renewable limestone. Counter bases- Were built from salvaged parts of old homes. Look closely and you’ll see window frames, tin ceilings and shutters incorporated everywhere in the store. Sewing bases- These were saved from the trash heap and restored, most still work. Our menu board was rescued from a 130 yr. old home in Greenville NC, bulldozed to build East Carolina University. 99% of our packaging is made from corn or sugar and is completely compostable. The paint on our walls is an eco-friendly, low-VOC paint, as is the stain on our floors. “Green” isn’t about cool t-shirts and slogans. |
