Planning an event?
Whether you’re using our services or someone else’s, these tips will walk you through planning a seamless event.
Plan well in advance (6 months to one year for weddings), to ensure our services will be available.
Schedule an event consultation (757) 204-4775 with the following details established:
- Confirmed date and time.
- Reserved venue and headcount estimate.
- Before your consultation, determine the following if possible:
Decide on a theme and color scheme, collect fabric swatches
- Bring along printed examples of event displays that you like.
- If you want to taste test a flavor (other than chocolate or almond) let us know in advance.
At the consultation, consider the following:
- Sample flavors and note your favorites.
Samples are free if you submit your deposit the same day.
- We offer over 125 flavors which may change by the dozen, up to 10 different kinds.
- Compare cupcake sizes and anniversary top cakes
- Tell us what you’d like the display to look like- review decorating samples.
- Discuss tower setup, rental and delivery fees.
- Let us know if your event will be outdoors and if refrigeration will be an issue.
- Leave a deposit to reserve your date.
With a few weeks you should receive a contract which should be signed or revised and returned.
Two weeks before the event, finalize any plan changes and make sure that any remaining balance has been paid.
